Saddle Loop Trail can be accessed from the main parking area, and shares the trailhead with the Old Guadalupe Trail. This is a gravel road, and you can expect to share the trail with bicycles, joggers, and horses. The trail passes though a eucalyptus grove and mature stands cyprus trees. The open grasslands throughout the Saddle Area supports a diverse number of native sound birds, and an excellent area for raptor viewing. The trail also has fantastic view of the San Francisco skyline, and the Marin Headlands.
